About

Diane Cartwright, LMSW

Owner, Hope Is Here Counseling Services,
Lead Therapist

I became a social worker because at key moments in my life when I needed more than an inspirational quote or a positive attitude to get me through some difficult times, I reached out to compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individuals who guided me as I discovered my own ability to heal some of my emotional wounds. Because of my own journey and because of those caring individuals who have helped me along the way, I too have a strong desire to utilize my talents to serve others who may be blocked from discovering their own innate ability to heal themselves emotionally.

I enjoy working with clients as they gain insight into their struggles so they can identify healthy tools to overcome those struggles. My clients will encounter a non-judgmental and caring environment that promotes growth, healing, and empowerment. Because everyone comes to therapy with unique challenges and values, I use an individualized approach to meet clients’ specific needs, incorporating research-based strategies that draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction approach.
